Besides the full featured DVB-T services (Conax card support, EPG, Movie recording, etc.), you can install Android based third-party applications to bring your TV to the next level. Browse the internet, playback well known video formats, watch millions of YouTube videos instantly.

 

With the help of your internet connection you can stream radio programmes from thousands of online stations, watch movies and listen to great songs from multimedia libraries. The MovieBox CX provides this experience in an integrated solution with a user friendly and gorgeous graphical interface. The included remote control supports the basic functions to operate the set-top box in an effortless way. Advanced wired and wireless input devices are available to use for you convenience. You can connect keyboard, regular and air mouse, or other peripherals which support Android. Even the remote controls with QWERTY keyboard and acceleration sensor are supported so you can play games downloaded from the Google Play store.

Transform your TV into a large Tablet PC with the help of MovieBox CX. Most features of the Android system are available and there are hundreds of thousands of applications and games waiting to be downloaded from the Play store. Use the readily available Google services like GMail, Google Maps, Hangouts, Google+, Quickoffice, Google Drive, etc.

 

With the help of the built-in DVB-T decoder and the Conax card reader you can watch free and paid TV channels over the air. You only need a DVB-T antenna to receive the broadcast. If you want to watch paid channels (in SD or HD quality) just insert your subscriber card into the set-top box and you are ready to go.

 

Record the broadcast in digital format to your USB drive with the direct-to-disk recording feature. You can instantly start recording with a push of a button, and you also have the option to schedule recording for a later time. The live broadcast can be stopped and rewinded if you are using a USB drive.

 

With the help of the electronic program guide, you can get information about the programmes 7 days in advance. Just select the movie you would like to watch or record.

 

You can play any content from your removable USB drive, not only the content that you previously recorded with the MovieBox CX. Download HD movies, photos, music from other sources and play back on your set-top box. Besides having a DVB-T decoder, you also have an advanced media player which supports well known file formats (like MP4, MKV, FLV, MP3, JPEG, etc.). If you have any difficulties opening a media file, just download and install the appropriate media player application of your choice. Having this advantage means that you can play back virtually any media file, only a USB drive is needed.

 

The set-top box can be connected to modern TV devices with HDMI cable or with component cable. If you have an older television you can use an RCA or SCART* cable. Also one digital audio output and an antenna input/output connector is available. The MovieBox CX has 4x USB slots and the built-in storage space can be extended by using a microSD card.
